Position Title: Supervisor
Reports To: Project Coordinator

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday to Thursday
Location: Erbil
Position Overview
The Supervisor is responsible for planning, overseeing daily operations, tracking team progress, and
managing on-site challenges during the implementation time of work type. This role ensures smooth
execution of tasks, adherence to safety and quality standards, and timely completion of assigned work
orders. The Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for field teams and ensures effective
communication with the Project Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Daily Planning
➢ Develop and communicate daily work schedules for surveyors, technicians, and assembly teams.
➢ Allocate tasks based on skill sets, workload, and geographical zones.
➢ Give each manager their work plan on a daily basis.
➢ Allocate work orders across team managers.
➢ Ensure rollout processes are respected, and targets are met
Progress Monitoring
➢ Track the status of ongoing tasks, including surveys, assemblies, and installations.
➢ Ensure the team adheres to work order timelines and performance targets.
Issue Resolution
➢ Identify and address on-site challenges promptly, escalating unresolved issues to the Project
Coordinator.
Team Supervision
Performance Management
➢ Monitor individual and team performance to ensure efficiency and quality.
➢ Provide on-site guidance and support to resolve technical or operational issues.
Training and Development
➢ Assist in onboarding new team members by providing training on workflow systems, technical
equipment, and safety protocols.
➢ Conduct regular briefings to keep the team updated on procedures and objectives.
Technical Oversight
Survey Support
➢ Verify the accuracy of survey data, including meter mapping, GPS coordinates, and photographs.
➢ Ensure survey teams comply with Ministry of Electricity standards for data collection.
Assembly and Installation
➢ Oversee the assembly of enclosures, configuration of meters, and gateway setup.
➢ Supervise installation tasks, ensuring proper wiring, secure mounting, and functionality tests.
Quality Control
➢ Conduct inspections to identify defects or issues in installed equipment.
➢ Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to validate the completion of work orders.
Coordination and Reporting
Team Communication
➢ Act as a liaison between field teams and the Project Coordinator, ensuring smooth
communication.
➢ Communicate with team managers, ensure to get reporting from each team manager on a daily
basis
➢ Relay updates, challenges, and equipment needs to the management team.
Documentation and Reporting
➢ Prepare and submit daily progress reports, including detailed logs of completed tasks and issues
encountered.
➢ Use digital tools provided by the Ministry of Electricity to maintain accurate records of work
orders and asset locations.
Safety and Compliance
Safety Monitoring
➢ Enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring all team members follow guidelines for equipment
handling and electrical work.
➢ Conduct regular safety briefings and report any incidents or near misses to the Project
Coordinator.
Regulatory Compliance
➢ Ensure that all tasks comply with Ministry of Electricity standards, including proper handling of smart meters and enclosures.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
➢ Percentage of completed work orders within deadlines.
➢ Accuracy and quality of survey and installation data.
➢ Adherence to safety protocols with minimal incidents reported.
➢ Team productivity and performance metrics.
➢ Positive feedback from the Quality Assurance team and Contracting Authority.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years in supervisory roles, preferably in utility or infrastructure projects.
Hands-on experience with smart meter systems and installations is an advantage.
Experience in Smart Grid Program.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with GIS tools, workflow systems, and digital reporting platforms, excel use.
Knowledge of electrical systems, including smart meters and enclosures.
