Position Title: Project Coordinator

Reports To: Project Director

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday to Thursday

Location: Erbil

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing and overseeing all on-ground activities, including surveys, installations, meter mapping, and troubleshooting. This role requires coordinating with supervisors, aligning monthly plans and weekly updates with the Project Director and Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and ensuring seamless collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity (MoEL) field operations team.

Key Responsibilities

On-Ground Activity Oversight

  • Oversee the execution of all on-ground tasks, including surveys, installations, meter mapping, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
  • Address escalated issues from supervisors and resolve operational challenges promptly.


Team Management and Coordination

  • Manage and guide supervisors to ensure effective execution of their roles.
  • Align work plans and objectives with monthly and weekly project targets.
  • Monitor team progress and provide updates to the PMO regarding milestones and potential bottlenecks

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as the primary liaison with the MoEL field operations team to ensure smooth coordination and resource availability.
  • Facilitate communication between field teams, the Project Director, and the PMO to align with overarching project goals.


Planning and Reporting

  • Develop and update monthly plans in collaboration with the PMO and Project Director.
  • Consolidate weekly progress reports from supervisors and submit them to the Project Director and PMO.
  • Provide data-driven insights to improve efficiency and address recurring challenges.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-time completion of monthly and weekly work plans.
  • Successful alignment of field operations with project targets and PMO objectives.
  • Effective resolution of escalated on-ground issues.
  • Positive feedback from the MoEL field operations team and supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration, Management, Project Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in project coordination or management, preferably in utility or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands-on experience with smart meter deployments is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in writing, reading and speaking the English language.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, Excel, and PowerPoint.
